Meet The Team

Kurt Dietrich - President

Background and Area of Expertise:

Kurt began his career in commercial lending at a major Philadelphia based bank, one of the largest banking concerns in the region at the time. He then joined a regional investment banking firm becoming a Partner after he formed their employee benefit unit specializing in executive and 401k benefit plans (which had recently been created under ERISA). This firm was acquired and divested by a major insurance company and ultimately transitioned into a retirement plan services firm which is now known as Ascensus.
In 1980 Kurt founded Dietrich & Associates, as a pension advisory/brokerage firm specializing in offering insurance company guaranteed contracts including guaranteed investment contracts (GICs) and single premium group annuities (SPGAs) used in defined benefit pension plan terminations. In the past 30+ years he has personally managed the company into its current position as one of the most recognized, well respected pension risk transfer firms in the industry with more than several thousand plan sponsor contracts in place guaranteeing annuity benefits for several hundred thousand participants. He currently heads up the firm's newest initiative, designing and developing an annuity platform for 401k plans to replace life income benefits lost by participants when employer defined benefit plans are frozen or discontinued.

Interests:

When not overseeing Dietrich & Associates, Kurt attends to his other warehousing and trucking businesses Hanover Terminal and RH Crawford, both under the Hanover Logistics umbrella.
In his spare time, if he has any, Kurt enjoys spending time in the Pocono Mountains in the summer and on the West Coast of Florida in the winter. He appreciates a good game of golf in a beautiful location and time spent with family and friends. He especially cherishes his new granddaughter, who is the apple of his eye. Each morning he wakes up "just happy to be here".
