Dietrich and Associates attended and served as gold sponsor of the ASSPA 2007 Western Benefits Conference in San Francisco on July 22 thru July 25. Al Dietrich, Krista Dietrich and Geoff Dietrich represented the Company. Al and Krista traveled from our Tampa, FL office and Geoff from the Philadelphia area Corporate Office. The purpose of the annual conference is to exchange information, advance knowledge and education and foster sound principles, procedures and practices in the field of pensions and other employee benefit plans. Interacting with retiree professionals, plan sponsors and insurance companies, Transamerica and Pacific Life, Dietrich found strong interest from the nearly 2,000 attendees in group annuity programs for pension plan terminations and freezes, retiree medical funding and their soon to be launched 401k Annuity Plan (401k/db plan). Keynote speakers at the conference discussed investment advice after the Pension Protection Act, plan design governance, emerging compliance issues in health and welfare plans and fiduciary issues. The conference provided Dietrich and Associates the opportunity to meet one on one with participants and discuss annuity funding solutions while having some fun shooting baskets for a prize of authentic Chinese healing balls. Dietrich and Associates provides group annuity solutions for pensions including plan terminations, settlements and LDI programs, for funding retiree health obligations, individual annuities for employees leaving DC or DB plans and annuity programs for 401k's and SERP's.
